Children of Blood and Bone is a teen series by Tomi Adeyemi that sprints through an adventure set in an African fantasy world all the while jumping over the challenging hurdles that become chapter ending cliff hangers. Adeyemi crafts a kingdom called Orisha where unrest and cruelty divide the Kosidan (Non Magic Users) from the undesirable Magi (Magic Users). Readers follow three characters Zelie, Amari, and Inan on a quest to restore magic and secure the kingdom. A mixture of dystopian themes along with viewpoints of both oppressed and oppressor make this series a must read for fans of young adult fantasy!
