Coopersville Area District Library adopts the public policy set forth in the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, 1976 PA 442 (“FOIA”), that all persons, except those persons incarcerated in state, county or federal correctional facilities, are entitled to full and complete information regarding the affairs of government and the official acts of those who represent them as public officials and public employees, consistent with the FOIA.
Under the Michigan Library Privacy Act, patron records are ineligible for FOIA requests.
Coopersville Area District Library is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Coopersville Area District Library
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
