The Boersma Genealogy Room offers a comprehensive collection of materials to aid patrons in their genealogical pursuits, including local history records, how-to research books, and regional plat maps. Patrons can also peruse back issues of The Coopersville Observer on the microfilm reader. The room is additionally equipped with a scanner to digitize old photos and documents.

The library offers online resources for genealogists as well. Digitized copies of The Coopersville Observer and Coopersville High School yearbooks are posted on the library’s website. Additional resources are also on the library's website.
