Mobile hotspots are available at the library’s front desk. They go out for a 7-day loan, free of charge. Patrons must be 18 or older and have a library card in good standing to check one out. Devices must be returned inside to a library staff member during regular business hours.
The library is participating in the Ottawa County Mobile Hotspot Device Lending Initiative, a 2019 partnership between county officials and public libraries, which seeks to expand broadband coverage in the area. This three-year project is made possible in part through a Library Services and Technology Act Grant from the Library of Michigan, administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
